The
Greater Marietta United Way was established in 1929 to raise funds to
support the health and human service needs of area residents. The United
Way is an important source of funding for charitable agencies that focus
on helping local disadvantaged individuals. Volunteers drive the effort
behind the Greater Marietta United Way campaign, helping to keep operating
costs low.
Our volunteer Board of Trustees, and specifically
the Agency Allocations Committee, makes every effort to assure United
Way contributors that their support will have a direct impact on local
disadvantaged residents. Allocations to agencies are awarded after
careful consideration, ensuring the ultimate number of area residents
is being served.
